"In Christ" - A Life of Flourishing

We can’t do any of this without Jesus.

After months of learning about the life of Jesus and who He says He is, it’s time to ask: Who do you trust?

Jeremiah 17:5–8 isn’t your typical go-to passage, but everything is in there.

Trust in man(yourself)? Even when good things come, you’ll miss it all.

Trust in Christ? Even when the heat scorches and drought is certain, you’ll still stand flourishing.

The life of flourishing is more than knowledge. It’s a life of being strengthened in the heat, drawing from the river where you're planted, and bearing fruit even in the hardest of times.

This is for the weary. The ones burned out by productivity and hustle.

For the anxious. The ones fearing the heat.

For the wandering. Those chasing life and coming up empty.

For the found. Who know Jesus but need deeper roots.

For the planted. Who sense pruning is coming, but fruit is the goal.

For anyone tired of shallow faith.

For anyone who wants real growth.

For anyone ready to be in Christ.

Trust In Christ

Jeremiah 17:5-8 - The person who trusts in themselves “doesn’t see the coming of good,” while the person who trusts in God “doesn’t fear the coming of heat.”

Planted in Christ

The good life is so much more than what’s happening around you. It’s about where you're planted. Who you trust.

When the entire world remains anxious, we can have true peace in Christ.

Pruned in Christ

The drought will come, the temperature will rise. But we don't need to fear. For those planted by streams of living water, we will flourish in drought.

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

Bearing Fruit in Christ

The goal is fruit. When we are planted in the right place and allow the Lord to carefully and intentionally prune us, we will bear good fruit.

John 15:4 – Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
