Moses, David, Isaiah, John, and Paul. Five imperfect men used by God to leave an extraordinary legacy. Together, their lives and writings span thousands of years. Each had unique gifts, failures, and challenges, but they shared one holy calling: to record the very Word of God.

This next series captures the very heart of Bible Memory Project: Knowing God’s written Word, our living and active reflection of Him. 

These writers we’ve chosen to highlight certainly had limitations. They each struggled with their own sin, three of them even murderers… yet they intimately heard the voice of God and their lives were transformed because of it. Through His Spirit, God used these broken and imperfect men to record His perfect and eternal Word. 

As I’ve read more about these men, I’ve been reminded that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace or beyond the possibility of being used by Him. Whether He uses a shepherd boy to slay a giant or a runaway murderer to lead His people out of slavery, God does not always call the equipped. He equips those who he calls.

We’ve intentionally chosen four verses from five biblical authors in hopes that you may understand the Word more deeply, know God more intimately, reflect on what you were created for, and be set free by The Truth. 

We’ll see that these writers didn’t merely record the word of God, but they deeply loved it, cherished it, and it sustained their very lives.
